Abstract—Suffix tree is a data structure which represents all the suffixes of a string. The actions such as finding a substring can be carried out in long sequences like DNA or in sequences in general through the formation of this data structure. There are different algorithms for making a suffix tree. The basic algorithms made possible the formation of suffix tree in linear time but these algorithms do not enjoy necessary efficiency for longer sequences because the input sequence and the tree are not fit in the main memory. Application of LabView Vision and Fuzzy Control for Controling A Gantry Crane [Download Paper]

Abstract— Gantry cranes are useful for helping the human works especially in industrial sector. In operation of a crane, two primary factors which need to be paid in attention are safety and productivity. To increase these factors, good controllers are needed to deal with swaying phenomenon of the crane movement. A vision system was applied in this project as a distance detector to detect the distance along the journey of the crane trolley. Fuzzy controller as a type of intelligent controller was chosen to solve the nonlinearity introduced by both vision and angle sensor. Implementation was done in LabView with Vision and Fuzzy Control Toolkits. This project is success to bring vision system together with fuzzy control in controlling a modelled gantry crane in laboratory scale for about 149.5 cm in distance and 0.652 cm/pixel in intensity.


Requirement Analysis for Context-Awareness to Create a Digital Persona in eHealth Based Pervasive Intelligent Environment [Download Paper]

Abstract— Pervasive intelligent environment, such as digital homes or workplaces, has enormous potentials in modern world especially in eHealth services. In recent years, this area has achieved to draw numerous attentions for future living habits and lifestyle. In the meantime, a lot of question has been taken place which is become real challenges such as how to configure and manage these types of environment as well as controlling security and privacy issues to create and sustain the intelligent environment properly and effectively in health care sectors. For this reason, it is important to figure out context –awareness system in health care based on patient’s demand in the smart environment. In this paper, we have focused to analysis the basic requirements for context–awareness to create a persona in eHealth based system. Hence, we have developed a model to create a digital persona which reflects individual’s wishes to configure the intelligent territory. Moreover, we simulate a smart phone app to collect data from digital persona to create a collaborative approach to control the intelligent environment.

Abstract— Governments of developing nations, businesses and leaders of industry need to recognize that their continued economic growth will largely depend upon successful implementation and improvement of workforce preparation of youths and/or adults through Vocational Information & Communication Technology Training (VICTT). Educators have equally recognized the need for a major review and introduction of the principles and practices of Information Technology education and training for young adults at varous school levels as a future economic solution to eradicate extreme poverty. Various initiatives by the some state governments and tertiary institutions in Nigeria reflect growing interests in the workforce preparation of youths as a catalyst for growth in the twenty-first century and beyond. This paper highlights the common building blocks required for successful implementation and addresses how VICTT contribute to rural development, sustainability, scalability and the channels through which impacts can be realized and the practical means for realizing potential benefits.

Abstract— This research work presents an effective application of artificial neural network for diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmia, Comparison of the result generated by Bacpropagation and Conjugate gradient algorithm. The classifier was developed and tested with the MIT-BIH Arr-hythmia Database. Automatic analysis is performed by using artificial neural network. Following three consecutive steps are required for au-tomatic detection: 1) R-R interval detection 2) Heart Rate Calculation and 3) Classification.This work is not only limited to the diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmia but also it suggest the effect of colored light therapy on heart rate variability.
